Greater effectiveness with clients
Increased stress management skills
DID YOU KNOW?
The Beaton Consulting Group (2006) reports that legal professionals are more likely than other similar professional group to suffer serious depression and to self medicate with alcohol and other drugs.
According to the Courting the Blues Survey (2009) 60% of lawyers report moderate to extremely severe distress.
According to Chan, Poyton, and Bruce (2014) moderate to severe levels of stress anxiety and depression impact 26%, 28% and 32% of the profession respectively.
The Bergin and Jimmieson Survey Of Australian Lawyers place these figures somewhat higher at 37%, 31% and 39%.
Whichever the right number, it seems clear that a career in law comes with significant exposure to stress. Our programs can help with that.
